Would Somalia be better off recognizing
Somali Land as a sovereign nation ? Somali Land is very much desperate for recognition. The dire consequences will not only affect Somali Land but Somalia itself as well. BTW, Somali land joined Somalia five days later its independence was bestowed by British Empire. That really says something about the Somali brotherhood. If you can not win them over, then join them.

Re: Would Somalia be better off recognizing
Somaliland used to consist of five regions, but three of them seceded from it last year, and one is fighting it for. Therefore, one single region of a few 100 of square miles cannot become a country on its own.
Re: Would Somalia be better off recognizing
Somalia would rather recognize Israel then they do Somaliland i dont know what it is really maybe losing more lands they cant coop with it , i to would welcome this if they would how ever knowing Somali politicians would ever agree on anything. At all cost we must stop Ethiopia from getting a sea out let , this is bad for us in Djibouti also bad for trade bad for revenues .Not sure why they are so attached to Somaliland its only what 23 percent of the Landmass of the Somali peninsula and much of the fertile land is in the southDark Energy wrote: ↑03 Jan 2024, 09:22Somali Land as a sovereign nation ? It is time to accept the inevitable
The marriage between British Somaliland and Italian Somaliland broke down 4 decades ago and the divorce happened 33/32 years ago. Now what is left is formalizing the divorce and establishing excellent relationship for the future.

"Divorce isn't such a tragedy. A tragedy's staying in an unhappy marriage, teaching your children the wrong things about love. Nobody ever died of divorce."

Sarcasm is a very principled person. One cannot support Eritrea's independence and oppose Somaliland's independence as the basis is similar - colonial borders.Assegid S. wrote: ↑03 Jan 2024, 10:37sarcasm wrote: ↑03 Jan 2024, 10:30It is time to accept the inevitable

How could I put this? Sarcasm ... dancing for Somaliland on the stage and crying for 'Abay Tigray' behind the stage? or crying for Somaliland on the stage and dancing for 'Abay Tigray' behind the stage?

I am pro marriage and pro reconciliation and forgiveness. I remember admiring Hillary Clinton's decision to forgive her husband after his affair. I am sure you can tell me about other wives who decided to divorce their dishonest husbands and lived happier lives afterwards. But, if all fail and your wife does not want to be with you anymore, what can you do apart from accepting the inevitable?
