Fantastic news and a true “win/win” - Somaliland leases seacoast to Ethiopia and should gain formal recognition when deal finalized. This is reality - Somaliland is one of the most functional countries and Ethiopia needs long term sea access. Congrats!

But what does mini Kilil Chigray gain from this “deal” (we know what the ጨቅላው sign with other countries never materialized)?
We know agames were hoping for a war b/n the weaken PeePee and the powerful Shaebia so that the remaining juntas would have a little chance to return to Arat Kilo…now that hope seems dashed away.

Eritreans are burning in jealousy.
Unlike the violent and hotheaded deceitful Eritreans, the people of Somaliland are industrious and peaceful.
The incompetent leader pulled this one right. But it doesn’t mean he will be supported to stay. Hell no. He damaged the country in many ways and he has got to go.
But I will give him this one for shutting down the deceitful Goytoms.
Ethiopia will never abandon the people of Afar.

I still don't understand why Eritreans on this site are acting like a jilted lover who learned that her ex is going out with a fitter lady. I thought the news would be a relief and minimizes the risk of conflict between Ethio & Eri.
