A simple hotel room costs $64 and lunch $23 dollars (2,500 birr). That’s much more expensive than in Ethiopia. Djibouti is one of the most expensive countries in the world.
Why are Djibouti & Eritrea expensive than Ethiopia?
Asmara has a fine architecture and is very clean. Hotels and food seem much more expensive than Ethiopia.

$64 for a rudimentary hotel room. WTF!
I thought things were much cheaper than this in Asmara!

Asmara looks like a ghost town

A price is always dependent on how the owner values himself and his products.Somaliman wrote: ↑09 Dec 2023, 15:13A simple hotel room costs $64 and lunch $23 dollars (2,500 birr). That’s much more expensive than in Ethiopia. Djibouti is one of the most expensive countries in the world.
