The the United Nations said famine has threatened 24 million Ethiopians. But the import-dependent country is also grappling with a foreign currency crisis. The International Monetary Fund says the country’s foreign exchange reserves can finance less than one month’s worth of imports. Last year Ethiopia imported goods valued at $18 billion, while it only managed exports worth $4 billion. In addition to maturing debt and dismal foreign exchange inflows, the cost of recovering from the devastation of the war requires more than $20 billion.
The war wouldn't have cost Ethiopia $20 billion if Abiy hadn't order the withdrawal of Ethiopian forces from Tigray, which allowed the Tigray terrorists to regroup, get armed and supplied by the UN, and advance to the capital. Abiy's blunder had cost Ethiopians $20 billion dollars!

I believe it has been a trademark of all Ethiopian regimes to tell white lies without any shame. Now, the truth is Ethiopia could produce and export crops including wheat. But they must work for it instead of just wishing to do so. The Ph.D. holder Water "scientist", who is currently leading the country, would rather brag about what his PeePee Party could do with nothing to show for it. I am sorry, his party has starving people to show for it. my bad! LOL!
