It is extremely regrettable to follow up what is happening in Ethiopia today.
If it wasn't enough, the country that could have feed the entire African population is more famous for its poverty and starvation in the world. To see it again, under a silly leadership that try to build a false illusion or image of a strong military power with borrowed money only God knows with how much interest rate, to invest in war and misery is just beyond me to make anything out of it.
Re: It is extremely regrettable to follow up what is happening in Ethiopia today.
The whole Ethiopia now came to the understanding that the fascism born from Tigrayan and Oromos due to inferiority complex has a lot to do with the mayhem we all go through. Most people initially sympathized for these nationalists and now concluded both need to be eliminated. Tigray paid dearly and most likely will pay more as it has not learnt yet. Oromos will pay 10 times more than Tigray.

Don't let miss rock fool you. She's an agame troll. We remember when she used to insult Eritreans day and night, when we know Amara nationalists are on good terms with Eritrea and Eritreans played a big role in saving them from the tplf and tigrayans.
All this nonsense about the whole Ethiopia is a lie. No one is going to help you fight the oromos. If you wanna test the Oromo brave hearts, you are welcome to, but we know you won't and you'll just be an keyboard jegna like many others. There are corrupt elites from all ethnic groups, whether it be Amara, Oromo or Tigrayan.
Anyone ruling Ethiopia will eventually be corrupt and oppressive regardless of their ethnicity, just look at the past, every ruler has focused on their power and wealth, while the masses were poor and th country remained underdeveloped.
Amara elites ruled and didn't even build anything in gojjam, gondar, wallo, etc, they instead made themselves rich and the Amaras were just as poor, and at times poorer, than southerners.

Forward the following message to her.
I thought she is a truly patriotic Ethiopian, I could have missed something back then. She might have acted out of a different motivations.
I think she is in relationship with someone from Eritrea, I could be wrong. I have no confirmation.
If that assumption is true, then she is still acting on behave of somebody else, not out of a care for the Amhara people. She opted to become a tool, unlucky of her.
If she cared about Amhara, then she is someone capable of questioning the authenticity of the claims in the documentary and shared it in her message.
If she didn't try to ascertain the authenticity of the claims, then at least she should have explicitly expressed this in what she shared on X. As someone who is a journalist by training this shouldn't have evaded her attention in sharing the grand allegation of a genocide against the Amhara people.
To reach at the top takes a lot of effort, but staying at the top takes even more effort, or something like that they say.
She opted to fall from grace that fast!

Grounds for discussion should always start from one's own principles and opinions not as a reaction to someone’s comments and shortcomings.Sadacha Macca wrote: ↑01 Dec 2023, 14:05Don't let miss rock fool you. As I see it, Woyane has been very successful in making Ethiopia unable to exist as a nation. If this is because of inferiority complex or what ever that should be left to researchers but that is the ugly reality we are witnessing today. No country has ever enacted laws that polarize its society like Ethiopia has. Which made the country after more than 30 years of blindness to lack common standards of national feeling.
If, the meaning of coming to power is, to favor a certain ethnic group and redraw borders to farther favor the same ethnic group, how can one forget that the others will also think along the same lines. They will do everything they can, to also come to power, to do the same thing.
Beside, I don't think Misraq has anything to do with Woyane. Often spontaneous but generally has a good grasp of geopolitics.
Re: It is extremely regrettable to follow up what is happening in Ethiopia today.
You are probably, not the right person, to talk about patriotism. I cannot expect you, to have any understanding, of what it means to be a patriot nationalist. You are probably, the worst tribalist who is after someones property to grab.DefendTheTruth wrote: ↑01 Dec 2023, 14:59Forward the following message to her.

Ethiopia has been divided, since it was forced together, by European firearms and expertise in the form of them sending their generals to lead and advise the army of Menelik. Hence the reason why it's always been engulfed in wars, rebellions, etc, since it was created a little over a 100 years ago. It was created by Neo-Colonialism. So while we can say we were never directly and forcefully colonized, we were indeed indirectly colonized by their funds, firearms, etc; hence the reason why every Ethiopian govt has depended on the ''super powers'' for aid and firearms, which in turn would be used to suppress their citizens and serve their interests in the strategic Horn of Africa.
Weyane simply exploited it, which is of course, evil and immoral. It's not like we were all holding hands and united, prior to the tplf (backed by shabia, mind you, who ensured tplf ruled the empire until 1997, even helping them to fight OLF) coming to power in Finfinne/Addis Ababa.
Perhaps this is why, this book from the 1990s.
Regarding miss rock, perhaps you are newer here and don't recall her past posts on Eritrea. She is playing the role of An Amara nationalist, but that doesn't mean she is one.

That can be the case of course. But, for all common interests, one must have a clear and feasible political position that guarantees the life and development of all future generations.Sadacha Macca wrote: ↑01 Dec 2023, 17:52Ethiopia has been divided, since it was forced together, by European firearms and expertise in the form of them sending their generals to lead and advise the army of Menelik. ...........
Borrowing money irresponsibly, in the belief that one will form an independent state that will not bear the responsibility for the loan. Even worse, to entertain with the good feeling of putting the future of other people in a ditch is, perhaps the most immoral, horrible crime that anyone can commit.
