BUY Ethiopian souls that are willing to destabilize their own country on their own and you have successfully destabilized the entire Horn of Africa region, is the name of the Geopolitical game that has been at play in our region for the last 70 years. Its another classic case of the rape victim marrying her rapist in adherence to the "marry your rapist" Neo-colonial laws. I feel sorry for the Ethiopian people whose hands are crippled by foreign aid that they can't stretch them out to God.

I was recently reading a book about Ethiopia called The Lion of Judah in the New World . The author is Theodore Vestal, an Oklahoma State University professor. And in that book, he makes a comment about Henry Kissinger's policy towards the Horn of Africa. We're talking 1972-1973, but it really sets the stage very nicely. And what Vestal notes is that in some National Security Council secret document, Kissinger said that the best thing for Washington's policy in the Horn of Africa was to keep the region divided and pit one side against another.

Think about what's happening now, the carving up of Sudan over 10 years ago, the splitting up of Somalia that you're reporting on these days, and then the ethnic conflicts that continue to hurt Ethiopia. That is classic Kissinger divide-and-rule kind of stuff.

And the opposite of that is Ethiopia, trying to make regional alliances, both for economic and political reasons. And from what I can tell, the strength, the real key to economic and social dynamism and development in the Horn of Africa is the Eritrean-Ethiopian connection. So of course that's something that Washington wants to break up. It’s another reason Eritrea gets all the bad press it gets.

It's very difficult for me to analyze what's fact and what's fiction in US reporting on Eritrea. I don't follow much of it because I feel it's so one-sided.

It's very unfortunate that almost every person who rose to power in Ethiopia has become a vassal for Neo-colonial powers to keep the country in perpetual internal conflict so it may never attain its full potential. We have yet to see a leader who has Ethiopia's best interest at heart.

To make matters worse, the Ethnic Federalism, also known as Ethnic Balkanization arrangement, a lethal dose of self-destructive pill prescribed by the Neo-colonial powers for Ethiopia that was forced on the country by the Tigray secessionist clowns, has added fuel to the fire, making it almost impossible to forge a national unity, relegating successive regimes to seek war as a survival mechanism. :x

Fiameta,

you have been one of the few rational participants of this forum (when it comes Ethio-Eritrea relations) for a while in my view, stemming from the other side of the Mereb river, but lately you became sort of random. Else I have difficulty reading you and getting your message which sounds Ethiopian leaders are serving the interests of others and those others are trying to put as much as pressure to coerce them and get them to their side of the equation.

Both implications appear at the same time, for what ever reason. Now my question is if I should take you seriously anymore?

I have to add at the same time you have been overgeneralizing and condemning the whole people of Tigray, just because you might have had issues with some political actors from there. That was not without a cost to your integrity and credibility.

The Tigray People's Liberation Front heard the aphorism that says "knowledge is power," so they deliberately kept the Ethiopian people uneducated to make them powerless. We expected King Abiy Ahmed to make education a top priority, but he himself is an illiterate plagiarizer monkey. The Ethiopian people deserve better than this! :|
