Abiy was smart when he invited Eritrea to fcvk a formidable enemy in just 3 weeks.
Abiy was dumb to leave the pacifying effort of Tigray to the fake marshall who whole heartedly believed TPLF became ዱቄት። marshal Julia lead ENDF to its defeat in wefri alula.
Abiy was so smart to pull the TPLF to Amhara region when his ENDF was defeated & routed in Tigray. He did that without announcing his plan to Issayas (EDF). Abiy carefully planned to eliminate TDF using Amharas. Fool TDF entered Amhara with joy and pumping their chests. Amharas rised and fought TDF finished 600,000 TDF zombies. Amhara also paid the burden since the battle was on their turf. Abiy then collaborated with EDF, Afar & Amhara and entered Tigray to finish the remaining job and TPLF/TDF surrendered
Abiy then played his dumbness to fight Amharas when he decided to disarm Amharas. This is something even TPLF did not attempted during their powerful federal government time and this dumb attempt will end his life or power
The street smart and ConArtist is shrewd when he uses others for his benefit. That is his power. And it appears he can't play that game anymore. His attempt to rally the whole country with Red Sea politics has failed miserably. No one trusts this con-artist anymore

I don't think we can associate the word "smart" with Abiy.
He is stup'id - worst than the frog, meles.
His intended goal has always been to create an oromuma country by stealing lands from Amara, tigray and eritrea. He can't accomplish this goal without somehow getting all 3 people to fight eachother. This kind of goal is basically as stupi'd as it can get! That is why I say you can NOT associate abiy with the world "smart"!
Abiy is inferior. No inferior person can be smart. He is an inferior, if he luckly advances in one area he will eventually lose it ALL!!

1. Eritrea didn't need Abiy's invitation to come fight a mutual enemy. It was, is and always will be a matter of national security to endure an enemy bordering them, who had tried various ways to weaken Eritrea and claim their lands and ports, is destroyed or at least.... weakened to the point that it no longer poses any threat. They didn't want tplf to come back to power, as Ethiopians didn't, because it would've attempted to use the resources of Ethiopia against them.
2. Pacifying a region that's hostile is not an easy task. Even for superpowers who had to withdraw from Afghanistan, iraq, etc.
There is an essential difference between conventional warfare and guerrilla war. When the tigrayans switched to guerrilla warfare, it changed things dramatically. They were able to make tigray ungovernable but of course, with endf, EDF and fano, they wouldn't have been able to sustain such a war, an Ethiopia being a poor empire wouldn't have been able to either. This is why they bitterly blame Eritrea because it was the decisive factor in the war, since it's a more efficient fighting force than fano and endf.
3. Disarming any non government groups is logical but unfortunately there is no trust from either side (I don't blame fano, I'd do the same). They tried to disarm OLA and that's failing too. OLA is growing into forming brigades these days. Basically, as usual in ethiopia, might is right, so all these groups will fight until a winner emerges.
