F..Coker,
As the long as the UN is concerned, Somali Land is still part of Greater Somalia.

I doubt somaliland will ever accept such an proposal first of all zeila is issa territory my clan territory in somaliland it holds the history of Somalis the city zeila is where haqu diin was from and imam Ahmed guray u know him as imam Ahmed gragn . Under no circumstances will the somaliland leadership accept such proposal first the reason I mentioned before the value of zeila is worth so much more to Somalis then u can imagine . And second. The Somaliland government has the berbera port and the uae invested half billion dollar to enlarge that port this is the main port of Somaliland , the whole issue is to make money from Ethiopia the objective of somaliland is to take fourty percent of what Djibouti now manages today . That it goes via berbera so they will not cut their own revenue down to give u a sea out let in their own territory. And the third the president of Somaliland is also a Djibouti citizen and things related to Ethiopia on security issues is always first consulted with the president of Djibouti. So u can forget about this issue .

And most of all, no contract or agreement gets valid without the consent of the Federal Somali Government.
Make no mistake, DP World UAE's contracts both in Berbera and Bossaso were validated and consented by the Somali government.
Remember, when Genel Energy (GENL.L) was claiming boastingly of staring to drill oil in Somaliland late 2022 and that Somalia had rejected such an illegal claim!
What happened, as we're now almost at the end of 2023?
"The uncertainty created by a lack of international recognition makes it difficult to mobilise sufficient investment." - purported Genel Energy (GENL.L), and both the fanfare and illusion have disappeared all of a sudden.
Whether it's Zeila or Berbera, they're national properties and not clans', and thus it's the Somali government and its institutions that are entitled to bear responsibilities in this regard.
Sure, institutions in Somalia are still quite weak, though getting stronger gradually. Therefore, no one could appropriate Somalia's patrimony. The lesson we taught to Kenyans on the maritime delimitation should suffice to demonstrate this, I guess.

If I were you, I would be more worried if my mama would have something to eat tonight or she goes to bed empty stomach again.
The topic you opened is for those people who are not worried about whether they are going to starved to death or not.

that is also true all legal stuff has to be done via the Somali government so what ever shady deals genel or others have that wants to steal resources should be dealt with, i dont think they want to give us a good deal when it comes to oil they just want to take and take

Ethiopia will gain many benefits if she formally recognised the independence of her neighbour Somaliland for example it will kill off forever the radical Greater Somalia ideology pushed by Darod rats and also a mutually beneficial agreement on sea access regarding Somaliland's city of Zeila

No war needed for Zeila, money or dollar has value with Somalis, shabians on the other hand are irrational that you give them a billion dollars probably not accept… they are like cave people… eritra is not friendly to work with anyone
Issu won’t allow anyone touch his Red Sea, paranoid person , Ethiopia needs to wait a little for his natural exit.
Let’s go for Zeila now and after issu ,…assab will come home that we’ll need more ports in the future
