It’s Over! War Machine Leaves Zelensky Behind!

John Kirby said it himself. He said that while the White House is moving forward with its plans for another $200 million for Ukraine, it is reaching the end of its rope and
will not be indefinite
as Kirby said to reporters:

Zelensky is freaking out.

He, of course, is doing his best effort to mirror the Wasington establishment in their messaging about the ongoing war in the Holy Land between Israel and Hamas but has made it pretty obvious that this is going to spell disaster for Ukraine. Washington has already scrambled aircraft carriers for Israel.

Zelenksky knows that the US will not be able to afford to support Ukraine at the level it needs to defend itself from an inevitable Russian offensive, let alone achieve any of the military goals it had for its latest counteroffensive.

Zelensky will be coming to the table for negotiations soon and will have even less firepower behind him to make demands.

Russia will have a choice to make. Will they negotiate with Zelensky before or after they make dramatic moves on the ground? At this point the Russian public would likely be very unhappy if more territory in Ukraine was not secured by Russia. With Zelensky’s allies shifting focus to the middle east and Ukraine sufficiently demilitarized it seems likely, as Scott Ritter has stated, that multiple new oblasts in Ukraine will be annexed into Russia in the coming year. There is one thing, however, that could cause Russia to pause. If Russia foresees its allies in Syria or Iran facing imminent military threats from the West they may seek to lessen the force in the Ukraine offensive. This is unlikely but the situation in the middle east is highly volatile and Russia has extensive strategic interests in the region including an entire force in Syria protecting Assad.

At this point, however, it is the Russians’ choice to make on the ground.

The US will undoubtedly unveil massive military aid to Israel once a new Speaker of the House (which appears to be a tight battle with even Steve Scalise unlikely to secure 217 votes) is selected and then quickly begin dialing down aid to Ukraine. Zelensky will likely flood the internet feeds of the world with another one of his famous begging videos but no congressional standing ovation will await him this time. The tides of history have moved on.

At this point the main concern in the Ukraine itself is that Zelensky or other more radical elements of his regime may get irrational in their desperation.

Whether it means attacking something like the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, launching more ill fated terrorist squads into pre war Russia, or even just refusing to retreat and sending hundreds of thousands more Ukrainian men to die for nothing, these corrupt clowns may stop at nothing to remain in power. Let us pray for the people of Ukraine that their leaders will come to the negotiating table sooner rather than later!
