Over 100 people have been injured during riots in South Tel Aviv after the Eritrean Embassy attempted to hold an event at a local venue.
Protesters claim they had contacted police numerous times to try and prevent the embassy from holding the event.

Eritreans complain of tracking, dispute on refugee status
Anti-government protesters have long complained about the embassy's attempts to monitor and track refugees from Eritrea.
Ongoing disputes with the Israeli government over refugee and asylum status have also been cited by protesters as part of the rationale for the riots.
Eritrean Embassy effects
Last week, the Swiss newspaper St. Galler Tagblatt reported that the Eritrean Embassy had been sending spies disguised as refugees to extort money from refugees.
The paper reported on multiple stories of people who had fled the country being tracked down and threatened to pay back "debts" or "taxes" they owed back home.

One woman, who fled with her young daughter, was sent a picture of her daughter on the way to school tagged with the phrase "we know everything. You have debts in your country!” This is related to the "diaspora tax" levied on citizens living abroad.
The 'North Korea of Africa'
Eritrea has often been called the "North Korea of Africa" for its draconian and totalitarian regime. The country has been ruled by President Isaias Afwerki since the early 1990s when Eritrean gained independence from Ethiopia. Afwerki has imprisoned and killed many of his political opponents.

So because the police didn't prevent the right of others to peacefully meet..these blue shirt hooligans decided to go and stop the event violently & even attack the police![]()

The above is very misleading. The facts are that the Eritrean government has been recently working with Israel immigration officials to help identify those falsely claiming to be Eritrean for asylum. In Israel, almost 60% of the immigrants that claim to be Eritrean are actually from Tigray (a region of Ethiopia and base of the defeated TPLF, a sworn enemy of Eritrea). The fear of these Tigray immigrants is being outed as non-Eritreans using a decades old asylum scam.

The above are hearsay allegations of Tigray immigrants being "reported" to smear Eritrea(ns) but such hearsay reporting shouldn't be confused with facts. I and many other Eritrean have lived decades abroad without being forced/coerced to pay any taxes. However Eritreans freely contribute to help programs that aid families of those that were martyred in Eritrea's 30yr liberation/independence struggle...these programs help with housing/food/healthcare/education and may even help with decreasing the migration flight caused by unwarranted sanctions imposed by the US/EU on the country.
It is important to note here that the TPLF had trafficked many Eritreans through Tigray (a region in northern Ethiopia that borders Eritrea) for the last 2decades...even stealing the identity/passports/documents of Eritreans to funnel their own Tigray people as immigrants. Many Eritreans that were trafficked through Tigray & TPLF have spoken of being threatened by TPLF agents to be instruments of anti-Eritrea regime change demonstrations/protests overseas, otherwise their other friends/family in refugee camps wouldn't be released to get asylum to EU/US. Additionally many of the UNHCR/immigration officials in Tigray were of Tigray origin put in charge over Eritreans and there was rampant abuse & extortion of Eritreans by ethnic Tigray officials.

The above is further proof of the misinformation contained in the article...either intentionally or unintentionally but its all poor msm journalism with its own political slant. Any one informed on Eritrea or the region would have known the term was coined by the former TPLF ruled government of Ethiopia (until it was ousted 4years ago).
The irony is the TPLF coined the label while itself was recieving North Korean arms at a time that the US had sanctioned North Korea but yet officially/explicitly allowed the sale of arms from North Korea to TPLF/Ethiopia![]()

The agames are not only stupid but dangerously stupid. The loss they have endured, making them crazy.
