What Eritrea needs to do is to mediate the federal Ethiopian govt and the Amharas only if asked by both parties.
Eritrea’s policy way from the days of our struggle to freedom was against woyane’s agenda of disintegrating Ethiopia.
The freaking problem is that the spineless Abiy is being played by his west masters and going to bring Ethiopia down with him.
Eritrea if asked should help Ethiopians only in one condition. To unite all the Ethiopians who are against the terrorit tplf.

Eritrea has no “horse in this race”. Unlike many countries in the region as well as the Western countries, Eritrea stands with Ethiopian people and its unity. Our leader made it clear, they do not wish to see a disintegrated and chaotic Ethiopia. Although Eritreas feel the Abiy admin has been hijacked by Mike Hummer and he seems to doing the west’s dirty for a few millions of dollar aide, still for the sake of the country’s unity, Eritrea will remain for now as neutral unless Weyane cross the border, given green light by Abiy and invade the Amara region and start committing genocide again. Only then Eritrea will have to get involved militarily to stop Weyane’s genocide as it did in Humera in 2018.
My personal wish
Abiy needs to go, he has already “burnt too many bridges “ as the saying goes; he is hated by Oromos, Amaras and by all ethinics and an inclusive government that respects the Amara’s territorial integrity needs to be installed; the S. Africa Agreement needs to be voided since it never includes the main victims of the war, the Afars and the Amaras and the Weyane war criminals needs to be brought to justice, not rewarded as spineless Abiy is doing to make happy Mike Hummer. The Amaras’ grievances is very legit and they have a right to be angry after what we all have been witness Abiy’s shenanigans with Weyanes, the same force Amaras helped the Abiy admin defeat it only to be betrayed a few months later:
