DNA was not known (developed) back then, his true biological identity could be refuted, if well researched. It could also be true that the so called step-father is his true father, for exa. as someone who had an affair with the woman he later married. Anything is possible. Fact is that his parents sent him to school and called him the son of Bikila, we can't say why they opted to call him like this.

His DNA can be of an Amhara or Oromo lineage, his upbringing (i. e., what he ate, drank, where he went to, what he was told etc.) was Oromo and that could have made the difference after all.

I have never contemplated about doing that so far, I don't think I will do it in the future to just found out if I am an Oromo or an Amhara. It makes no sense in my view, I feel okay for what I am now, ask those who sit around and tag others as "half-cast", "full-cast" or "null-cast" and condemn them to death based on that category. And ask yourself that as someone who sit around and condemn others as "Oromuma", your sworn enemy number one.

Even the ENDF, the guardian of the nation, is dubbed "Oromuma" and targeted for ambushing in the land where you come from.

Many people in the Amhara region are targeted for an assasination after being labelled "associates of Oromuma", in case they may escape the tagging of *-cast labelling.

Ask yourself about those things first before trying to find out the DNA test of others.

Oromo and Orommuma are two different species, do not mix them intentionally. Orommuma is a cult system while Oromo is a linguistical segment of society. The former attempts to live at the expense (often by extermination) of other and the later as integral part of the whole people of Ethiopia.
