Manifesto: Transforming Eritrea into a Modern Republic

Post by Eripoblikan » 02 Jun 2023, 02:18

Introduction:
This manifesto outlines a comprehensive plan to transform the state of Eritrea into a modern republic built upon the principles of rule of law, social justice, prosperity, internal harmony, and peace with neighboring countries. By embracing these principles, we envision a brighter future for Eritrea, where citizens enjoy equal rights and opportunities, where governance is transparent and accountable, and where cooperation and goodwill prevail in the Horn of Africa region. This manifesto aims to present a simple and easy-to-understand roadmap for achieving these goals.

1. Rule of Law:
a. Establish an Independent Judiciary: Create an independent judicial system that upholds the rule of law, protects citizens' rights, and ensures fair and impartial justice for all.
b. Strengthen Legal Frameworks: Develop comprehensive legal frameworks that are clear, accessible, and in line with international standards, ensuring equal treatment under the law.
c. Anti-Corruption Measures: Implement robust anti-corruption measures to promote transparency, accountability, and the efficient use of public resources.

2. Social Justice:
a. Equal Rights and Opportunities: Guarantee equal rights and opportunities for all citizens, irrespective of gender, ethnicity, religion, or social status.
b. Education and Healthcare: Invest in quality education and healthcare systems to provide accessible and affordable services for all Eritreans.
c. Social Safety Nets: Establish social safety nets to support vulnerable populations, ensuring that basic needs are met and promoting inclusive economic growth.

3. Prosperity:
a. Economic Diversification: Foster economic diversification by promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable industries, reducing reliance on a single sector.
b. Investment in Infrastructure: Invest in modern infrastructure, including transportation, energy, and communication networks, to facilitate economic growth and regional integration.
c. Job Creation and Skills Development: Prioritize job creation initiatives and skill development programs to empower citizens and create a productive workforce.

4. Internal Harmony:
a. National Reconciliation: Foster an environment of national reconciliation, promoting dialogue, understanding, and forgiveness among different ethnic, religious, and regional groups.
b. Decentralization and Local Governance: Strengthen local governance structures, empowering communities to participate in decision-making processes that affect their lives.
c. Cultural Heritage Preservation: Preserve and promote Eritrea's rich cultural heritage, recognizing its importance in fostering a sense of national identity and social cohesion.

5. Peace with Neighboring Countries:
a. Diplomatic Engagement: Engage in constructive and peaceful diplomacy to build strong relationships with neighboring countries, fostering regional stability and cooperation.
b. Border Dispute Resolution: Seek peaceful and just resolution to any outstanding border disputes through dialogue, mediation, and international arbitration.
c. Cross-Border Cooperation: Encourage cross-border cooperation in areas such as trade, security, and resource management, promoting mutual benefits and shared prosperity.

Conclusion:
By embracing the principles of rule of law, social justice, prosperity, internal harmony, and peace with neighboring countries, Eritrea can chart a course toward becoming a modern republic. This manifesto provides a simplified roadmap to guide the transformation process. It is essential to acknowledge that achieving these goals will require collective effort, commitment, and inclusivity from all sectors of society. Together, we can create a brighter and more prosperous future for Eritrea and its people.

The Eritrean City-State will remain a Militarist State due its size and its location surrounded by Yemen Red Sea, Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia. This reality will never change. The Central Problem of Eritrea will forever be its Survival as a State.

This is true because Eritrea is too big to be a fancy Port City, a tourist destination for rich Arabs. This is why for 30 years Arabs have not considered to build a hotel mecca there. On the other hand Eritrea is Too Small to become an economic power of any consequence. Even Eritrea was to find massive oil or gold deposit, it could only become a rich small city-state.

The only economic model for a prosperous Eritrea is to become an integral part of Ethiopian economy, Sudanese or Egyptian economy.

Being small has its own advantages: one being the ease of managing the state. We see big unwieldy nations like Ethiopia going through never-ending periods of crisis.

That is True. Big is also a curse. That is why there is an optimum size (scale) for everything. Federalism was suppose to do that in theory. Small is also a curse. It is a life under constant survival threat.

If you go to any Eritrean gathering, you would a pariah for even remotely hinting this. Unfortunately, this kind of silly talk among Ethiopians and Tigris has been encourage by Isaias, who doesn't seem to know or understand who Eritreans are and what they aspire for. I can assure you, this kind of talk is not going to outlive him.

The optimum solution is to work together: small nations and big nations. That is why regional stability and cooperation is one of the cornerstones of the manifesto. A thriving Ethiopia or a stable Sudan is a win for the right-minded Eritrean. A prosperous Eritrea is also beneficiary for a healthy-minded Sudanese or wise Ethiopian.

It is all in the mind, Mr Horus.

Post Isaias Eriteria shall be successful only a subordinate of Ethiopia. Isaias never tried to build Eriteria but use it as hostage and spring board to control the Horn Africa which he miserably failed. He is now asking China and Russia to save him from Ghaddfafi like regime change planned on him by the USA.

So if Eritrea had a foreign owner like Djibouti, it would be relevant?

Besides bin Talal & Ethiopia's previous owner - al Amoudi- have attempted investing in Eritrea & were denied.

But arrogant know it alls, could first ask before coming up with such idiotic assertions.

Ethiopia itself is on the brink of collapse, or have we forgotten already?

Good reading by everyone on this thread. However, I have a question and anyone is welcome to answer it. Eritrea is in Africa, and please name me one country that is truly free of the US and westerners shackle? For a country to work in regional integration and to build an economic engine, a country needs to be free of the Haynes. Case in point, there was a great opportunity and hope between Eritrea and Ethiopia to build advantageous economic integration but the US and the West won't allow it. We know what Eritrea is but if Ethiopia was free of the devils, the outcome could have a different history. My point, till Africans are free of the US and the West, it is foolish to talk about Africa's economic emergence However, Eritrea can and will do what Singapore did. Everything what you the problem in Africa is the results of the US and the West interference. Look what is going on in Ethiopia.

One thing I agree with you is that Eritrea always will be a militaristic nation. It is has become a culture.

Ero,
Good one. But, there are few more key ingredients to it.

Justo,
In my book, you are a good Eritrean with good heart. Just tell it like it is, everything will be fine. We have to agree to disagree, but the present system hates that. Sooner or later, Eritrea will be set on the right course. Tuning from God and looking for Ethiopia, China or Russia only insures the continuation of the spoilers of our independence.

Delusional Askaris. In just 30 years your population is reduced by 30% to war and migration. The only leader you know Issu presided in 4 major wars.
Don’t try to put the cart before the horse.

Ok, let's see at these 4 major wars indipendently.

1. The war against you lementi and as its obvious to everyone by now because they became the victims of it too (the Amara & others), is that your 'chgray manifesto' is the central cause of it all.

Finally now though, you mad dogs are sequestered in your stony killil.

2. The war against Sudan (you were on it too btw while lording over Ethiopia because bin Laden & Co. attempted to assassinate Mubarak in Addis), was because well-trained Eritrean jihadis were sent within Eritrea to create havoc & they managed to kill a british geologist by the name of Timothy Nutt https://www.segweb.org/SEG/Foundations/ ... -Fund.aspx & committed other terror attacks like bombing a bus full of people.

3. The war against Yemen, started because Yemen forcefully occupied the islands & Eritrea retaliated. Infact, your terror junta attempted to help Eritrea then in its court case afterwards by providing maps & even pics. of Menghistu visiting the islands unopposed by Yemen.

4. Djibouti just wanted to keep the huge port business from Ethiopia going by siding with tplf & antagonising Eritrea needlessly, using non-existent border issues.

5. Behind most of these wars, there's the shadow of uncle Sam.
