Yonas Birru used to be called an intellectual of the Ethiopian diaspora

Post by DefendTheTruth » 16 Jan 2023, 16:23

This guy was referred to many people as an intelectual and I concurred with the idea.

He wrote a lengthy article over Ethiopia ( which I could have probably expressed in few words saying "why am I left out") and invented an algorithm that produces high-volatag power, please the true natural science engineers help me out here.
The two malignant forces tactfully process their war against each other through the pro- and anti-Abiy political algorithm to produce high-voltage power
.

Please someone who is in the field of electrical engineering decipher this coded sentence for me.The term algorithm is used also in computer science but the sense it is used there doesn't fit in this sentence.

ዕዉቁ ፕሮፌሰር የማያዉቀዉን ነዉ እንዴ ገብቶበት የምያቦካዉ?

He also invented a new way of accounting for an inflation, he must be nominated for the Nobel Prize in Economics for this invention, don't you think?
In a recent session at the Ethiopian Parliament, the PM painted a rosy picture of a phenomenal increase in GDP per capita citing the World Bank as a source. He suggested Ethiopia’s GDP per capita has increased from $1000 to

$1200 – a 20 percent jump in one year. He attributed the jump to his successful economic policy.

No country has ever registered a 20 percent year-to-year growth. The figures the PM used are nominal figures (without accounting for inflation). The 20 percent jump in nominal GDP per capita reflects the nation’s runaway inflation not its real growth. It is possible to see a sharp increase in nominal GDP when the real GDP is sinking into the abyss.
Please the economists help me out here how inflation in Ethiopia has deprecated the purchasing power of the United States Dollar?

The figures are cited in terms of US $ as this quote indicates, but the good professor is try his best to tell us that this is just the nominal figure, what please?

Did I hear before that he was a high-ranking world bank officer before? With this knowledge or something else?

I stopped reading the lengthy article after coming across this claim, because I can't catch-up with what the good prof. is writing any more, I concluded.

The guy states the two biggest challenges are the two Shanes (Oromo and Amhara) but then turn around and lecture us about the PM's failure to recruit people like him into his government and as a consequence the government is going to fall. He approached the government to "advise" on several occasions but not to avail, he admits.

Here after I dropped out, to spare myself!

Mr. Yonas Biru is useless idi0t. World bank fired him for his lack of professionalism is competence!!

He he claimed that WB fired him for being black. but all his claims except one are dismissed and rejected by the Tribunal

Diversity at the World Bank Group - Diversity and Claims of Former Staff Member

To date, Mr. Biru has taken five cases to the Tribunal:

- Case 402, filed in 2008, claiming breach of promise to appoint him to a position in 2006 and alleging racial discrimination and retaliation;

- Case 437, filed in 2009, claiming wrongful termination for unsatisfactory performance; and

- Cases 495, filed in 2013; and 510, filed in 2014, each requesting to revisit previous rulings.

- A fifth case filed in 2015 (Order No. 2015-4) was summarily dismissed.

The Tribunal ruled as follows on:

- Case 402: Against Mr. Biru, finding a lack of evidence to support Mr. Biru’s claims of discrimination and/or retaliation and noting behavior on Mr. Biru’s part that was “arguably per se grounds for dismissal” (p. 52);

- Case 437: In Mr. Biru’s favor, awarding him three years' salary plus $10,000 for cost. However, the Tribunal found no evidence of discrimination or retaliation, and they chose not to reinstate him, noting “Neither the Tribunal’s Statute nor its Rules require that the Tribunal must order reinstatement when it finds a termination decision to be arbitrary….He has made no secret of his contempt for the institution where he now seeks reinstatement. In these circumstances, the Tribunal does not consider reinstatement to be an appropriate remedy. Instead, the Bank must pay compensation to the Applicant.”

- Cases 495, 510, and Order 2015-4: Against Mr. Biru.

In sum, the Tribunal supported one of Mr Biru's claims and rejected the others. Mr Biru refuses to accept the decisions against him while accepting the decision that rewarded him financially.

I do not see any technical or expert level help to see its validity. The context simply provides the lack of objectivity. For instance, how on earth Amhara Fano affected the national economy? Whereas it is in Oromia where unchecked OLF mob burnt down cities, businesses, robbed banks, displaced millions, destroyed their livelihood, turned many Woredas lawless; and also the Tigre-woyane invaded Amhara and Afar destroying, looting, etc. that cause economic down turn. Talking about Amhara is nonsense. The OLF government printed fake paper money that the country never earned in the market, handed out TPLF hundreds of billions of Birr that has been floating all over in the market. While the culprit is OLF and TPLF, wondering why Amhara is being bad mouthed. The victim is held accountable for the failures of the corrupt criminals. Although inflation is a global phenomenon, why it is so astronomical and weird in the Ethiopian case is because we have tribal thugs of OLF and TPLF that plunged the country into ethnic cleansing war and insatiable corruptive practice - which both unashamedly blamed it on innocent Amhara people. Well, until a civil and civilized government, law and order is prevailing in Ethiopia, economically the country's will be sh!t a$s hole as it is morally now down the toilet. The country needs brand new government and constitution, I do not see any good from the rebels at 4 kilo.

DDT,

Last year, country A produced 100 pens and price of pen was 2 Birr

This year, country A produced 80 pens and price of pen is 3 Birr

Then, last year GDP = 100 * 2 = 200

Then, this year GDP = 80 * 3 = 240

You see GDP appears to grow from 200 to 240 but that is in nominal terms, not in real terms. The price rose from 2 to 3 and that’s where the change is coming from, production actually went down In real terms. i.e. real GDP decreased from 100 pens to 80 pens

Abiy or any politician is interested in painting a greater picture even when things are worse.

Now, thinking of Ethoash the ባህላዊ Economist. DDT might take the figures at their face value, 240 > 200. It might be good why the production goes down from 100 to 80 pencils. Was it because the pencil plants closed, was the cost of labor or material increased, or the market went off track from the supply demand rule due to rigid intentional political maneuver, etc.

Dedebit is always Dedebit, never can chagnge.

The price was not in Birr, read the short quote.

ETB has lost value against the dollar,
Ethiopia produced more and gained growth in terms of dollar.

Which nominal are you talking about?

You do not have to claim being an Amhara to stand for justice, being a human being is enough. You too can be Amhara if you stand for justice and fight against Orommuma operession. Remember this from the Book of life

"And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham." ሰው ከስጋ እንጅ ከባህርይ አይወለድም። ባህርይህ ሰብዐዊ ከሆነ ኦሮሞ ወይም ትግሬ መሆን የለብህም ሰው ለመሆን።

Spot on. He wants to be Abiy's advisor but Abiy knowing fully how idiot yonas birru is, ignored him. By the way, Yonas Birru during the TPLF era was quite. never wrote article or show in public. He was facilitator for weyanne in world bank. for that, Abiy understood how opportunistic this man is and decided that he doesn't need him for OPDO. Sadly and shamefully, yonas birru kept licking the ground abiy walks in hope of getting some assignment.

Yonas Biru is trying to explain “political algorithm of high voltage power” means as a pro and anti Abiy potential fight between forces of different antagonistic groups. Which the main point here is the word voltage means potential or capability in simple daily English. This is from the horses mouth.
