ሕያው ግዕዝ! ላዕሌ ቦ ላዕለ! ቦ ሆነ፣ ይሁን ማለት ነው ! ቦ ነገር ኩሉ እንዲል! ስለዚህ ግዕዝ በተራ ሕዝባዊ አጠቃቀሙ ይህን ይመስላል ! ተዝናና በነገራችን ላይ ኧሰት (እንሰት) እጅግ ጥንታዊ የሴም ቃል ነው (ነ ማለስለሻ ሽንቁር ናት) ፣ የምግብ እጽ ማለት ነው። የኧሰት ማሳ ተጋን እንለዋለን ። ጋርደን (ያትክልት ተክል) ማለት ነው ። ተጋን ለአረብኛ በጣም የተጠጋ የሴም ቃል ነው!!

Having said that, I loved the song which you shared. Its lyrics are interesting (I have some knowledge of gurage language), the singer mentions GurA in Eritrea and he claims that gurages hail from there. He is right, incidentally, in the village of GurA in Eritrea, the people there have similar culture with the gurages. If you attend a wedding ceremony there, you would think that you are not in GurA but in welkitte.
Please correct me if I incorrectly translated the lyrics.

How come GurA , a place in Eritrea be the source of Gurage? I do not agree with it. First, by coincidence many places located even different geographic hemisphere share similar name. The name GuA is not even close. The only valid test is DNA. Do the people share similar physical or facial characteristics. Other than it sounds like an Orommuma activist claimed Mekelle is an Oromo name so is Adi-grat etc. etc.
