The ongoing negotiation between PP and OLA is practically between the PM Meles established OPDO and the pioneer and flag-bearer of the Oromo struggle the OLF. What will be the end result ?
- Integration of OPDO and OLF( OPDO swallowing OLF)
- Independent & peaceful survival of OPDO and OLF side by side
- Alliance ( coalition of OPDO & OLF )
- Extinction of OLF/OLA
PM Meles established OPDO as he felt it was impossible to establish a coalition with OLF which had uncompromised separatist agenda at that time. Time has proven that PM Meles made the right strategic decision since the formation of OPDO had not only enabled PM Meles to form strategic alliance ( coalition) with Oromo representative organization but it has helped OLF to moderate it's separatist agenda and have saved Ethiopia from disintegration. PM Abiy's Medemer Philosophy is also against disintegration of Ethiopia and I have no doubt about Ethiopia's continuity as we know it into the future !
