I very much doubt that PM Abiy is crazy enough to go to war with Eritrea, even if tremendous pressure is being exerted upon his government by the West to do so.
He'd also not have any soldiers to send, other than some Tigrayans who may see it as a chance to exact revenge.
Oromo's ain't gonna go fight, we didn't even want to fight in Tigray, he had to forcefully conscript soldiers in Oromia for that war, and many of them became POW's in Tigray and got promptly sent back to Oromia. It simply isn't seen as our war to fight in the first place.

Great leadership is not a popularity contest, so PM Abiy doesn't really care whether people love him or not. All he cares about is the things that really matter, such as the life of every citizen has equal value, and the understanding that there are no winners in a war, only survivors.
