With zero appetite for reform from the ruling PFDJ elite and a visionless and unprincipled opposition (with the exception of a few brave souls here and there), Eritrea's best hope is for some event to trigger an uprising within the army that gives a chance for some officers to push out the dying clique.
A new restructuring of the political order can be done with the involvement of technocrats form the Diaspora. All you need is some 100-150 Eritreans who are skilled in their respective domains to heal the nation and resuscitate the economy.
