It is not about church or religion but about resources

Post by Deqi-Arawit » 08 Feb 2023, 14:11

The Swedish church owns 400 000 hectares of forest, in fact the church is one of the five largest land owners in the Scandinavian countries. In Russia, the Russian Orthodox Church owns 4 million hectares of land and my question is, how much land does the Ethiopian Orthodox Church owns?

In unprecedented move, the Oromos are declaring their independence from the Ethiopian Orthodox Church without the declaring of Oromos sovereignty and independence, which is unheard an odd to the say the least. His eminence tried to understand the logic behind this decision but I couldn't come to any conclusion except the motive behind their decision must be all about grabbing the church's belonging.

What is the certain is though, Oromos move to disconnect them from the Ethiopian church makes them a de facto independent country which in turn Make Ethiopia just a name.

in social media, some amhara are shaving their hair. Like I advised the amhara many times, shaving hair or crying about a country which doesn't exist in the heart and mind of every citizen is similar to the empty slogan (One people one heart) Eritreans are accustomed to. Fake is fake no matter how many times you convinced yourself it is real. In order for your to say, we are Ethiopians, every citizen from the east, north, south and west must share the pain of his country without Snowflake and victimization tendencies.

Your temptetion to equate Ethiopia with Amhara is evident, fact is yet Ethiopia is the country of all of its citizens. Most importantly those who are free from the weird mentality of "ለመገዛት እንጂ ለመግዛት አልተፈጠራቺዉም".

Deqi-Arawit very obviously crying for TPLF, not about Oromo. As if TPLF did not bury innocent Oromos alive in Debrezeit or forced mothers to sit on the body of their children, all of a sudden he is now over concerned about Oromos. First, Orthodox Christianity is the religion of many ethnic groups, just not only for Amhara. Only the TPLF associate Orthodox religion with Amhara. Secondly, it is the Oromos that are fighting against the invasion of their church by Abiy Ahmed. It is the Oromos that are dressed in Black, praying and mourning the malicious attack of Abiy Ahmed's OLF force. Language is not an issue in the church. Oromigna language is used in the Churches of Oromiya, there are already dozens of Theological colleges training in Oromigna. The Holy Synod already exposed the lie of Abiy Ahmed about this. If Abiy Ahmed were democratic and really concerned about language, why did not he as a government implement that those children whose mothers tongue none-Oromigna attend school in their own language, etc. There are millions of them. While his government is un democratic suppressing others right he is politicized the church's even when the church is doing absolutely right.
