Black jockeys and horsemen dominated the sport of Thoroughbred racing, from the first Kentucky Derby in 1875 through 1903, right before the Jim Crow era pushed them out. In fact, 15 of the first 28 Derby winners were ridden by Black jockeys.

If you allow, I would like to comment selectively on john wayne, he was an SOB racist. He constantly claimed that he was proud of his grandfather who was on the side of the Confederates in the civil war of 1861-1865.
Uncle sam's land is a funny land. For instance, years back Ronald Reagan was the president of uncle sam's land. He offered the secretary of state position to his cowboy friend (by cowboy friend, I mean they acted in western films together)
Remember... Reagan was a Hollywood actor at his young age.

Having said that, I admit I loved the western movies of john wayne and the way he walked. Sadly we grew up watching such types of films, they were massacring the native americans and they were always the winners and as kids we were cheering it.

As you might know the above line is a line from the lyrics to "The Star-Spangled Banner", which is the national anthem of the United States. This was being celebrated in the US as 'the land of the free and the home of the brave', while at the same time new slaves were being imported into the country and there were outlets displaying banners that read " Auction & Negro Sales" all over the country, particularly in the Slave States, and that such freedom was only valid for a select group, since the Native Americans and slaves of African descent had none at all and there were some four million slaves in the country, of men, women, and children enslaved, exploited, and often abused by slave owners!!

These criminals stole 20 million africans from mostly west africa and brought them 2 usa so they can use them physically 2 build america and they treated them worse than animals for over 500 years and counting. And even after the slavery in the 1950-1980 they started to kill and hang and lynch black americans like animals. So true, even though all chicken do not have the same skin colour.
They call everyone else "people of colour", even though technically both black and white are not colours but shades. And the stupid thing is that we parrot their crap and call us "people of colour" and call them just white!
