When I saw a video of him in Axum, I thought it was a photoshopped woyane propaganda, until somebody told me it was real. I wonder what it is about that video of Awel Said in Axum, IMO, one of the greatest Eritrean performances, that has riled you. Perhaps you are one of those upset by a Muslim Eritrean in the "Holy" city of Axum. Prostitutes and all sort of degenerates can roam in Axum but Muslims are regarded as desecration. In any case, the Axum phallic symbol is not a religious site. Axum is the political center of the hallucinators of Abay Tigray and the performance of zikri semat'at there is an act of victory no less potent as the actual victories of our ENDF over the rag-tag Agame militias. ዒም ዝበለ ይተሓጎም

It would have been helpful if you elaborated why it's 'childish decisions' and who those ውርዙያት Eritreans are, and how you quantify and decide ውርዙይነት?

Your assertion about Seyoum Teshome is also about your judgment. There are many adjectives that I can employ to describe Seyoum. The words 'Intelligent' or 'smart' will never be in my list though. In my opinion, that was a humongous misjudgment on your part, but that faux pas wouldn't make you less intelligent or ዘይውርዙይ, as a person!

We might not agree with others action(s) (person or government), but the words we deploy to express ourselves matter a lot. And your post sounds too dismissive of the contribution and of personality of this great poet!

Thanks Jaegol, I appreciate the question.
It is not the message (although I have many things that I disagree with both content and delivery, but that is matter of opinion). It is not either the messenger, I don't know the guy and have nothing negative or positive to say about him.

My problem is the platform, the national platform that is being provided to such unfiltered individual perspectives that may not always be aligned with our long-term interests. I know for sure that his recent nationally-sanctioned tour abroad has caused problems for our local communities, that many activists are still trying to resolve.
