My wish for the year 2023 is that the capital of Eritrea enjoys 24-hour, seven-day-a-week electricity.

The President of Eritrea has been promising to fix the country's electricity problem for the past 30 years, but nothing has changed.

As of recently, Asmara residents have had their power restored for two days each week. The entire city of Asmara covers approximately 17 square miles, making it far smaller than Disney World.

Are you joking or real that a country of 3.5 million people is unable to provide electricity for its people in a regular and consistent manner. A couple generators should suffice to provide this small population enough electricity. What is going wrong? Mamo Killo is building a palace for half a trillion Birr for himself yet Asmara couldn't generate enough electricity for its 17 square mile city. It is a shame. Where is the 2% diaspora tax heading? It is gross mismanagement.

Eritrea should be one of the worlds best tourist destinations due to its location right on the red sea and its beautiful weather. culture and people. With tourism alone, it can not only provide enough electricity for its people but also free of charge.

Mekelle City= 42 km²

Disney World= 111 km²
