Why Pelé is still the world's greatest soccer player
He's the world's most prolific goal scorer and a three-time World Cup winner, and we know him as Pelé. The legendary soccer player is now 82 years old and is, unfortunately, dealing with some troubling health issues. Pelé underwent surgery to remove a tumor from his colon in September and spent a month in recovery. Doctors said he would be treated with chemotherapy following the surgery and on December 8 he was hospitalized in São Paulo for further treatment related to the tumor. Pelé spent Christmas in the hospital and, sadly, doesn't have high expectations of surviving this battle against cancer.
