Islam was in the Horn of Africa early on from the Arabian peninsula, 3] Among these early migrants was Abdirahman bin Isma'il al-Jabarti, the forefather of the Darod clan family.[4] Al-Maqrizi noted that a number of the Muslims settled in the Zeila-controlled Jabarta region which is presently northeastern Somalia, and from there gradually expanded into the hinterland in the horn of Africa.[5] The Jebertis (Darod) are the biggest clan in terms of population and land size in Somalia and a large minority in Yemen, Oman, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Kenya. Most Jeberti concentrated cities include Asmara, Addis Ababa, Kismayo, Badhan, Garowe, Lasanod, Garbaharrey, Jigjiga, Bosaso, Bardera, Buraan, Garissa and Salalah.

Ancestral claims
The Jebertis in Somalia are called "Darood"; they are descended from Abdurahman bin Ismail Al-Jeberti are from Al-Jabarta in the Saudi Hejaz and YemeN

Jeberti means (descandant of arab Abduraham Bin Ismal Al Jeberti )

Argoba (Areb Geba) are natives to Kemise, Senbete, Bati, Kalu. They are a very peaceful people ans do not fight wars thus when the Oromo migration occured from Borana~Baranto(Arsi) into Wollo the lands they settled on was the Argoba lands of the lowlands of Eastern Amhara. The Amhara fiercly succeeded in resisting assimilation and identity loss by the invading and setling Boranas. Argobas are arabized Abysinnians that have strong ties with Afar Somali Harari people as the first muslims of Amhara State. Todays Oromo zone in E.Amhara is actually Argoba lands of Beta Amhara. The culture is uniquely abysinnian with strong lowlander Afar influence.

Shonke mosque south of kemise is the first mosque of Amhara region.. The argobas do not have a unique language they speak Amharic Afaregna Arabegna Somaligna Hararegna and Oromigna. Horus said Argoba are Gurage the only gurage thing i have seen from argoba is there floor dance

That makes sense. I never believe Jebertay could live in so many countries without having a true identity other then being a proud child of arab and ashamed of being a hoa african

There is truth that Arab merchants from Zella did travel all the way to Shonke in Eastern Amhara forming the Argoba community that is comprised of Amharas that lost their identity due to religious divide and ended up thinking themselves as Arab Wonderers it just so happens to be they live in Metehara all the way to Bati (Somali clothes name) aka Amhara-Afar border.

Not sure but it could be Arabs used to be around the horn of Africa for centuries places such as Harar Zeila Massawa had their fair s hare of arabs , but if they travelled all the way to the interland of Amhara , I am not sure but will look into that for sure
