Before a year we were told the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) has been effectively decimated and lost too many territories that were under its control. People went on to describe this army as an entity that can't fight any war and win a battle. We thought the army's files and ranks have been debilitated during the war that lasted number of months, based on the claims.

After the enemy side was nearing a point of controlling the capital and toppling the government, many people of the diplomatic core decided to leave the country while the route was still safe.

Now after a year the TPLF is on a run, it is losing strategic areas that has been under its strong hold, has lost many of its high-ranking officers, it seems that the TPLF is nearing the end of its existence as an entity that can fight any meaningful battle.

This must have been possible by a sound military strategy from the top, which have got its focus on how to win the war, not the individual battles.
