We are entering to the new phase of the war and the suffering of the Tigrayan people contuinues !
From the dramatic start of the war in November 4, 2020 and the fall of Mekelle by the end of November 2020 and the subsequent premature declaration of total victory by Abiy , then his famous speech that "ወያኔ፥ ማለት፥ ዱቄት፥ ማለት፥ ነው"፣ then his admission that TPLF is once again alive and fighting at 7 fronts . After the Ethiopian and Eritrean army defeat by the Alula operation , Abiy suddenly declared unilateral cease fire and left Tigray and similarly Isaias also escaped with out notice.TPLF came to Mekelle by the end of June 2021 and while Abiy and Isaias we're leaking their wounds it launched offensive toward Amhara, Afar and Addis Ababa. General Tsadikan declared the war was over and similarly Getachew Reda declared no force on earth will stop TDF from entering Addis Ababa but by December 2021, TPLF was withdrawing it's forces back to Tigray may be under the pressure of the USA & drone attack , based on a promised resolution of the conflict peacefully and repeated disruption of it's overstretched supply line by Ethiopian and Amhara forces. Then came the unilateral humanitarian truce that was declared by both parties which they had used to prepare themselves for the next phase of the war and the 3rd phase of the conflict started in August 2022 and continuing so far . TPLF / TDF defended Tigray and inflicted heavy damage to both Abiy and Isaias for about six weeks until a game changer war game was deployed by both Isaias and Abiy which enabled them to push Tigray forces and enter Shire. Once Shire was taken , it looks TPLF/ TDF have changed their war game from defend & counter attack as a conventional force to a mixed gorilla style & conventional war game and are no more interested in holding to cities and we are going to see once again Abiy in Mekelle declaring war is over soon. TPLF/TDF leaders and armies are once again going to their fortified caves and Abiy is also determined once again to try his best to hunt & kill the TPLF/ TDF leaders with drone. This time Abiy and Isaias will block Tigray from aid agencies and free media and try to relocate Tigrayans to concentration camps , to drip feed and dehumanize them so that they are delivered from the weyane spirit. Tigrayans out of Tigray in Ethiopia will also be further persecuted, marginalized, dehumanized, exploited and impoverished to keep them under constant fear & subjugation. The war has been going on for two years and it looks it may have to contuinue at least for one additional year bringing long term changes in political, military, economic , geographical ( including Ethiopia securing access to the Red Sea" and social aspects of the Horn of Africa. The bottom line Tigrayans are going to carry the heavy burden of suffering and death but people of Eritrea and Ethiopia will also contuinue to suffer with the war surely expanding to the territory of Eritrea and other parts of Ethiopia.
