Arabic script may need to reform and written in Afaan Oromo script because Afaan Oromo is basically democratic and pluralistic from its roots to the top of its heads, in which case it absolutely FITS to the progressive and positive developments of societies and communities all over the world. When I say it "Fits" I mean that it Fits like the nose fits to the human face.Roman wrote: ↑21 Oct 2022, 21:20I'm sorry to say but Afaan Oromoo looks terrible when written in latin script and it isn't compatible with the Geez alphabet also. This leaves the option on exploring Arabic alphabets as it's more laxed than Geez. If Oromos want to have Afaan Oromoo as Ethiopia's main language and want it adopted by majority of people then the language needs reforms.
Right now the language isn't able to compete with Amharic because Amharic even though its shortcomings seems the better overall language. It's up to Oromo scholars to solve this issue. I can't stand it whenever someone is speaking Afaan Oromoo with me and they use loaner words in every damn sentence because there isn't a way to describe it in Afaan Oromoo. I also hate that when I'm writing I sometimes forget about vowels and it's just confusing.
A. Too many damn vowels
B. Too many loaner words
The language doesn't feel complete:

Everything is voluntary of course but never compulsory. For your information no language on earth is complete and conclusive and may vowels are easy and comparable across languages. Language keep developing and changing as societies keep developing and changing culturally, technologically, demographically, economically, socially, environmentally, etc.
As far as Oromos are concerned loosing their beautiful democratic and pluralist language to the night or day hyenas means simply loosing themselves. This further means that you have to glue your baboon ar$$ to the chair and learn the dynamics of changes and metamorphosis in all of its forms.
Last but not least, in your case even if you go to an Arab country as servant and earn your living there speaking only Arabic and not at all Afaan oromo means you have already found the redemption from Afaan Oromo as you can go on serving in the kitchens and toilets in Arabic. Even when your employer rapes you according to the customs it will happen in Arabic language too. Then you need to shout loud, "thank you for liberating me from Afaan Oromo!!" Okay? Okay!!
