The last 20 months have made it clear that the Ethiopian government has been blocking food aid and trying to use it as a weapon of war against the Tigray people in addition to the blockage of basic services including bank service and freezing bank accounts opened in Tigray through out Ethiopia. It is impractical to expect any help from the polarized and fragmented UN and the cruel China but the USA and EU could put pressure on the Abiy government to allow unfettered humanitrian access and resumption of basic services to Tigray.
