An Honest Analysis : Where the PFDJ excelled and where it failed

Post by Eripoblikan » 11 Jul 2022, 16:07

Since its founding in 1994 as a successor party to the EPLF, the People's Front for Democracy and Justice has been ruling Eritrea with a firm grip not unlike totalitarian communist dictatorships in Cuba, Soviet Union, Cambodia, North Korea and the likes. Let's where it succeeded and it failed:

1. Economy
This is where the PFDJ failed miserably with the nation having one of the lowest GDP growth in the world. There is little room for private enterprise and the party-owned businesses are notorious for mismanagement, corruption and embezzlement of public property. With a notorious swindler by the name of Hagos Kisha as the finance head of the party, it is easy to see how much money has been stolen and put into offshore bank accounts. Remember the HSBC leaks of 2015:

https://erena.org/32-un-identified-erit ... itzerland/

2. Politics
With zero tolerance for dissent and no alternative parties to choose from, Eritrea has been riven by political stability and war almost most of its independence years. The ruling party itself has never done any congress since its founding and no meeting of any of its committees has been reported. Almost all major decisions are made by the dictator with little input from his close associates even.

3. Internal Harmony
This is where the party has succeeded albeit moderately. Eritrea does not seem to share the endless ethnic and/or religious strife prevalent in the Sudan, Somalia and lately Ethiopia.

4. Peace with Neighbors
The dictator has been interfering in the internal affairs of neighboring countries almost since independence in 1991. The exaggerated sense of self-importance of the dictator coupled with trigger-happy nature of TPLF leaders resulted in a disastrous border war, the effects of which are still being felt this very moment.

5. Democracy and Justice
It is a mockery for the ruling party to have these words in its official name. No elections have been held in Eritrea and there is little recourse to the courts for fair judgement.

All in all, it scored 1 out of 5, a miserable 20% which automatically registers as an ...

clearly you are a victim of western and US media. While thinking is allowed I appeal to your intelligence and do your homework. I don't know if you are an Agame or not but think. It is miracle how Eritrea made alive and what is astonishing is, Eritrea is clearly a super power of the horn Africa. This people this nation are amazing. They save Ethiopian's azzz and now, the Somalia soldiers supposed to be dead, killed by the Agame but their are Trained to to kill. Let alone Saebia trained you for three years, even they trained you 6 month in sawa, look what the 33rd round Sawa did the agame. They went in with AK-47 and they went home with missiles and brand new T-72 tanks. go figure. Clearly the champions of horn Africa if not Africa.

Look inwards and see what you can do improve yourself. Always blaming others is never the solution.

And that's a job for the Eritrean people. We don't need any interference from outside forces, least of all the backward ethnic group called TPLF.
