Somalia President travels to Eritrea for a four-day Official visit



Mogadishu, Somalia (Horn Observer) -- Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud on Saturday traveled to Eritrea, where he was received by President Isaias Afwerki of Eritrea, officials said.

"On the invitation of President Isaias Afwerki, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mr. Hassan S. Mohamud, arrived in Asmara this afternoon for a four-day official visit. Pre. Mohamud & his delegation were accorded warm welcome by Pre. Isaias on their arrival” Yemane G. Meskel, Eritrean Information minister said, ” The two Presidents will hold talks on further consolidation of the warm ties between the two countries as well as on regional issues of mutual interest. Pre. Hassan Sheikh Mahmud & his delegation will also visit various parts of the country and ongoing development programmes”

In another statement from Villa Somalia said that during the visit, the President Mohamoud will hold discussions with his counterpart on a range of bilateral issues of common interest to both nations.
