Abiy gave a long defensive response to American criticism of the Wellega ethnic cleansing by recounting state by state and city by city killings in America. But the random and individual killings and crime in America and politically and constitutionally sanctified ethnic killings of Ethiopia are not the same kinds of animals. It was a bad stratagem on Abiys's part.

Abiy also tried to normalize the Oromoia ethnic cleansing as ordinary garden variety terrorism same as that faced by every nation on the globe. That was also a false comparison because the killings in Oromia are jointly organized by the Oromia government and OLF/OLA. This fact is being witnessed by concerned Oromos themselves.

In short, Abiy's speech was not a healing, uniting, forward looking and responsible response. He was instead blaming others, the opposition, the media, social critics and artists as well as he was externalizing the causes of the Ethiopian ethnic crises. ETHIOPIA IS EXPERIENCING MAJOR CHAOTIC CRISES OF ETHNOCRACY! Abiy keeps denying this hard fact .

In a nutshell, Abiy said two things - (1) that I have been elected a year ago and I am beyond and above criticism; that there is nothing you can do about my behavior and leadership for the next 5 years! This is a truly amazing, sad and failed political position to profess. And (2) that killings big and small, ordinary murder or genocide are normal state of affairs and they are not going to divert me from my set plans and developmental objectives. This is the classic cold developmental state philosophy which comes out of the mouth of the literature and art loving የጴንቴቆስቴ አማኝና ዘማሪት ሚስት ባል አቢይ አህመድ ።

ስለሆነም አቢይ የጦር፣ የፖሊስና የሴኩሪቲ ሃይሎቹን አጠናክሮ ሊሆን ይችላል ። በትክክልም በሃይል ከስልጣን የሚያወርደው የጦርም ሆነ የህዝባዊ ድርጅት ሃይል የለም (ማለትም ከራሱ ጄኔራሎች ኩዴታ ውጭ)፤ ነገር ግን የፖለቲካ መሪነቱ እጅግ እጅግ ተዳክሟል ። እኔ እሱን ብሆን የቅርብ አማካሪዎቹን እውቀትና ብስለት በጥልቅ በመመርመር አዳዲስ እና የተለየ ሃሳብ ያላቸው አማካሪዎች እፈልጋለሁ!
