It’s time to ban the habesha word in this forum

Post by AbyssiniaLady » 19 Jun 2022, 12:36

I think it’s time to ban the habesha word in this forum, habesha is not the right word to use nowadays, habesha is not an ethnicity, It's not a country or religion, nor is there a common habesha language and there's no such thing as habesha features and habesha culture, It is a meaningless word that divided Ethiopians beyond repair.

Amhara promoted tirelessly the term habesha and tribalism and used it as a political weapon to counter and isolate Somalis and other muslim Ethiopians especially Oromo, back then, It was us and them, Today, Ethiopia is the epicenter of instability in the HOA and the most violent country in the world.

By the way, the word Habesha doesn't mean Abyssinia, the inferiority ridden Tigrinya are chewing gum stuck to the bottom of Ethiopia’s shoe.

Agame, አልሽ እንዴ?
Oh lord, now all of the sudden agame tplf is worried about Ethiopians being divided

You got hit! Habesha is a powerful name!

Habesha is an ancient name given to us by our ancestors!

The wahabi Kenya face Oromos and Tplf hate Habesha. Because when we Habeshas recognize that we have distinctive features that when we see each we say "Are you habesha?" አበሻ ነህ፣ አበሻ ነሽ!! " when he is Kenya face or something we say "አበሻ አይመስልም". That is because of our genetics bond!! And we always respect and welcome eachother! We love everyone who are peaceful, we just love being Habesha!

Of cource, there are some habeshas that have now woken up yet though.

So, you said you would no more go by the name AbyssiniaLady or Habeshalady in this forum? Tell us your name now? But we the pourd Habesha People are here forever The name Ethiopia is itself Habesha. The Habesha population is demogrphically the largest in East Africa Region. Like it or not, Habesha is an iconic name and the people are powerful, creative and influential.

Abysinnianlady,

I disagree with you on this one. Habesha or Ard al Habesh is the land and people referred to south of Egypt by Arabs.

Empires grow and fall apart through time thus Ard al Habash or land of Habesh is also narrowed and narrowed and confined within the geographical boundary we call it Ethiopia today.

When I get back to make a point of my disagreement, I am of the opinion that the name Ethiopia should be replaced by Habesha or Habeshland. The name Ethiopia represents only northern Ethiopia and Orthodox Christianity, Tigre/Amhara/Agaw.

The south Oromo Gambela Somali and Muslims have no representation in this name called Ethiopia and its trio national flag.

The name Ethiopia and Green/Yellow/Red are symbols of Orthodox Christianity and Nothern Amhara/Tigre culture. Habesha would probably be the only reconciliatory term that can embrace and put Ethiopia's ethno-religious diversity on equal feet.

Eighty percent of the population cannot continue to dwell with the name imposed on it by a few northern minorities. The sooner this issue is treated is the better for all the people of the land and its well-being, I suppose.

You must be joking, The term "habesha" is a foreign word that has no meaning in Ethiopia 85 + different languages and 200 dialects.

Habesha or Ard al Habesh is the land and people referred to south of Egypt by Arabs.
That's not true

Agaw, Amhara and Tigrinya speakers landlocked land was formerly called Abyssinia and sometimes Habesha, call it what you want.

Look if your litmust test is what Egyptian has to say about Ethiopia, what are you doing in Ethiopia, go serve Egypt. Or are you serving Egypt in Ethiopia? No foreignbdefibes who Ethiopia is which includes ancient Egypt by the way. You keep making up lies about who and what Ethiopia is since Derg. You smuggle yourself in Ethiopia from Somalia, Egypt, Sudan, Kenya, etc changing the demography , culture, tradition and name of original Ethiopia. If you are not those smuggled in, then you are convert, who betrayed Ethiopia. You are one way or another who developed PTSD about your identity.

Any Ethiopian/ Abesha / Amara must not engage in revenge! Heard, Amara Gonder has revenge culture , lately Gojam? You must not engage in any revenge! If these who died are prisoner of wars, especially, Tplf is forcing these people to fight, l see Ethiopians, Amara or not bigger thanbTplf so must not resort to violence or revenge! Instead, these prisoner a should be rehabilitated and help Ethiopians fight back Tplf. Just friendly advice.

As of Abysdina lady, she has these videos but for 27 Years, she did not show the killing , maiming of Ethiopians by Tplf. This does not mean Ethiopians play along her as that is what she is seeking.
