In June 2014 the Intelligence Chief Getachew Assefa told the world that that he had netted terrorist Andargachew Tsige in an "undercover operation," loaded him blindfolded onto a private jet and flown him to Addis off Sana'a airport,Yemen.
There was no any speculation whether there was a covert operation or not, the speculation was who may have been involved over Andy's capture.

Starting 2013 Getachew Assefa knew where Andargachew was,where he was going,and how he could bring him to justice.One year before his arrest he was under surveillance and Getachew Assefa monitored Andy's computer and phone conversations while he placed calls to all his contacts.

Here is the summary of what happened:

On June 15/2014 : Eritrea based informant told Getachew Assefa that Andragachew was coming to Eritrea .Getachew Assefa already knew,but he got confirmation from his Eritrea based informant.

On June 20/2014 : The informant sent Andy's itinerary to Getachew Assefa. Then Getachew decided to send a beautiful spy woman(honey-trap spy) to Dubai straight to the Hotel where Andy was staying to seduce him as Getachew Assefa has hundreds of beautiful women who tempt lonely men into bed. Andy fell for the beautiful spy and they started drinking together and she spiked his drink with sleeping pill to make sure that Andy will miss his flight next morning at 6am and as expected Andy was completely out and he overslept.Then the spy woke him up to tell him that he had a call from Asmara and asked him to call Asmara.When Andy called Asmara , Getachew Assefa's informant in Eritrea pressured Andy to be in Asmara on June 23rd by hook or crook and this helped to lure and put Andy in Flight from Dubai to Sanaa.

-While this was going on a private plane with 3 Tigrayans intelligence officers arrived in Sanaa from Addis and met Yemeni security and immigration officials for discussion.

-After 3 hrs 30 minutes flight from Dubai a plane that Carried Andy arrived in Sanaa

-Yemeni immigration officers escorted Andy off the plane

-When he was led to the the immigration office he looked worried and he understood that there was something dangerous going on and they delivered him into the arms of Tigrayans intelligence officers.As soon as 3 of the Tegaru intelligence officers introduced themselves to him, he collapsed and soiled his pant(pee and $hit were everywhere).Then they washed him and he was forcibly flown to Addis.
