The Eritrean people are not asking for champaign or 5-star hotels, they are asking for decent infrastructure and expedient services.

I've heard attempts trying to frame this issue in terms of social justice. But letting Asmara, Massawa, Keren, Dekemhare where more than one half of the Eritrean population lives degenerate with broken sewages and people falling here and there while walking in the streets is in my humble opinion nothing but ኣሽካዓላል.

Abiy is changing the mentality of his people by offering them clean public places. The other day, I saw people cleaning their neighbourhood in Addis, something unthinkable when I was living there, and I have seen on many occasions people peeing right outside Emba Soira hotel or near the City Hall in Asmara, something really really unthinkable before Isaias. Those of us who love our country and those of us support Isaias should let him know that this is not acceptable. If he wants to focus only on foreign policy, the US and the rest, he should then appoint a prime minister who can take care of development that covers the whole country, including Asmara, Massawa, Keren, Dekemhare and the rest. Any thing less is ኣሽካዓላል

I agree with my wise grandfather that we are a work in progress.
