PP elected its president & deputies on live TV under the oversight of the Election Board. PM Abiy didn't get 15 votes

Losing 15 votes out of 1495 valid ballots means PM Abiy was elected with close to 99% of the votes.

Is there petitions committee in Ethiopian parliament?
Can the public approach members of parliament to raise a no confidence vote in the Abiy Ahmed’s government supported with reasons why a vote of no confidence should take place?

After all the public voted for PP and the party members (MPs )elected him as PM.is it not the MPs duty to remove / replace the PM ?

I don’t know what you are trying to say. You know PP holds absolute majority in the parliament and PP also just elected PM Abiy with close to 99% votes in a democratic election with a ballot box under the oversight of Election Board. What kind of no confidence vote do you need than this? The party is fully behind him.

Are you implying majority vote (close to 99% according to you) absolves the PP and it’s head?
If the public is not satisfied with the performance and policy of PP,how do they translate their displeasure, hold entrusted MPs accountable and have them removed from public office??

Currently,PM Abiye Ahmed is the most unpopular, insensitive and inconsistent figure the public glad to see the back of.there are so many evidence based reasons behind the PM’s unpopularity.
Now ,how can MPs (representatives of the public) express public displeasure and lack of confidence ,in their party room? Abiye Ahmed is increasingly becoming arrogant and dismissive of worsening security and ethnocentric public officials in his cabinet.
Don’t you think the PM is a liability to his party and the country at large??
Do you think the public will remain docile to enable dictatorship to mushroom?

majorly MPs are PP members and PP just elected PM Abiy with 99% vote in a secret ballot box under the oversight of Election Board. So even if you do a no confidence vote in parliament PP will vote for Abiy i.e. a no confidence vote is a dead end.

Only the voters in Jimma can revoke their mandate they gave to Abiy but he is still very popular in Jimma.

Those who want to remove Abiy have one chance though if they are serious. They can establish a new party or join an opposition party and work hard and prepare for the next election that’s due just in 4 years time. My guess is that most them are lazy and don’t do their homework hopping for some shortcuts and are surprised that he yet again won the next election too.

Delusional lazy people will achieve nothing other than whining 24/7.
