(3) Is it advancing/facilitating the prosperity, education & health of the Ethiopian people (individual Ethiopian citizens)?
(4) Is it assisting/enhancing the growth of a creative, ecological & spiritual Ethiopian culture?

These core elements of the Ethiopian agenda are matters of practice, not generalized discourse or abstract motivational speech. You know them by their actions.

Well, I am not part of the party politics in Ethiopia, I only care about the wellbeing of my people. To ensure this I may support the idea of peaceful and orderly transfer of power between the parties. Any party failing this on this principle is my enemy, inadvertently or otherwise.

Having said that I think building a massive party of over 11 million members is neither pure thought nor just idea, it is practically here, a job done on the ground, beyond cyberspace activism, which any serious contending party has to take on and fight against to win. There you have the option.

I heard before that the total number of eligible voters in the country is under the 40 million mark and with that more than 1/4 of those are already predecided voters.

If these 11 million can somehow convince just another 1 voter to vote for the party, on average, then the outcome of the election is already determined. Good luck, don't assume that the quota distribution of ministerial posts will be forever.

This is not overestimation from my side. And this is not a talk, it takes skill and determination for organising the people around given issues.

Your party and those many other in the country failed exactly on those fronts, by adhereing to the failed idea of my way or the high-way.

The cure is not in sight for now.

I raised the issue of the number of members (as an instance) and indicated that this is beyond words and/or ideas. It takes skill and courage, it is not simple. No other party came nearer to that so far.

Now you turn around and claim the numbers are worthless, well the next question is which party did any better then, even on the number level?

In the absence of any better one the bad will become the defacto better one.

Read back what I wrote. The person is what he does means we evaluate that person with what he does. It is an axiom. I did not describe what PP actually did, how many roads it built, how many poor people it fed. The axiom states that we will evaluate and judge the worthiness of PP by what it will actually does. PP is a party that was in power for 30 years. It is not a new organization. So the mere existence a 30 year old ruling party is not our measure of success. As I said, every unemployed young Ethiopian probably wants to join PP and secure a living. The 2000 core members of the ruling class will use those 12 million job seeking, gubo collecting party members to control the people and tribal prisons AKA killils. It is all about power, money fame and status. For the rest, you just look around, it is poverty, agony, dislocation, famine, lack of basic necessities of life.

TPLF used to brag that it has 5000000 members, it actually did, because to get any kind of privilege one has to be. So did all the communist
parties that turned in the ash heap of history used to brag about their numbers. So Abiy's attempt to be the proverbial "frog that tries to inflate itself to the size of an ox" his achievement is not secure peace and prosperity but the number of new cadres that he collected under the so-called prosperity party. Multiplying cadres by offering them fertilizers and local political positions -- this is how it is done, he is not inventing this wheel all over again and again. If one sees the underlining issues that are simmering under that Abiy wants to hide with china's made glitter, it is at the point of explosion. So mixing up numbers with results is a cheap canning method that only Abiy kind of charlatan can manipulate at his own peril.

I think you are trying to push me to the side of PP adherents, which I am not.

What I am saying is that PP is currently the better alternative, you can't name any other as a better alternative.

If you would like to seek a solution, then you should understand the problem first, you are not even disclosing the problem, you make false allegations. I am not sure what you are trying to achieve through that. I can say that you are not seeking a solution just looking at your allegations.


PP has a lot of problems, among others, deep-seated and invasive corruption. But where does the corruption come from? It has become the norm in the society.

When a person says he found a job the next and first question is if the position offers some benefits?

This is a very challenging problem, it needs an adequate solution and corresponding tools.

Parties are not ready or fit to tackle this immense problem of the society and the nation at large. If you think otherwise, please name anyone.

All of them are corrupt, that is why they can't even organise a significant number of people to make themselves a credible party. Many of them are just attention seekers, corrupts.

Add ethnically slanted nature of the benefits the problem is quadrupled. How one dose the same thing and expect a different result is beyond belief. Regarding the party membership, what I'm saying, it's like building on a sand,when and where there is a popular uprising it fractures as if it ever existed, not the core,but the fringe that makes the large chunk.

ትችት እንጂ መፍትሄ አታቅርብም ትለኛለህ? ያ ማለትኮ የሚጻፈውን አታነበውም ማለት ነው ። ያንተን አላቅም እንጂ እኔ በህይወቴ ሶስት የኢትዮጵያ መንግስታት ሲወድቁ በጥንቃቄ ያየሁና የገባኝ ሰው ነኝ። በኢትዮጵያ የጎሳ መብት፣ የቋንቋና የባህል ልዩነትና ኤዕኩልነት ለመፍታት አገሩን በዘር ክልል መከፋፈል፣ ድርጅቶችን በዘር ፓርቲ፣ ኢኮኖሚን በዘር ገበያ መከፋፍለ ሳይሆን አለም በሰለጠነበት ሳይንሳዊ በሆኑት በጂኦርግራፊ፣ በእውቀትና ሌሎች ራሽናል በሆኑ መስፈርት መሆን አለበት ስንል 30 አመት ሆነ። የአንድ አገር እድገት ወይም ውድቀት የሚወስነው አደረጃጀቱ ነው፤ ያ ነው የስርዓት መተግበሪያ። የችግሩ መነሾ የህዝቡ በጎሳ መከፋፈል ሆኖ ሳለ መፍትሄው ሕዝቡን በጎሳ ከፋፍሎ ማደራጀት ነው የሚለው ሜካኒካል ደደብ ሎጂክ ነው አልሰራ እያለ ይህ አሁን ያለውን የማያቁርጥ ቀውስና እልቂት የሚያስከትለው። የዘር አደረጃጀት እስከ ዘመን ፍጻሜ የማይሰራ ዲዛይን ነው። ፍረንጆች ሲተርቱ It is the design, stupid ይላሉ። እኔ ለ30 አመት ያሰብኩበት ዝርዝር መፍትሄ በውስጤ ስላለ ነው እነዚህን የተሳሳቱ መንገዶች ለማየት የምችለው ። የዛሬ 6 ወር አቢይ ሳይነካ በስልጣን መቅየቱ አስፈላጊ ነበር ። ዛሬ ደሞ አቢይም ሆነ ሌሎች ይህን የጎሳ ቀውስ ሪፎርም ማድረግ መጀመር አለባቸው። ችግርና መፍትሄ ማወቅ ማለት ያ ነው። ገዢዎች በራሳቸው ተነስተው ስርዓት አይለውጡም ! ሕዝብ ካልጠየቀ!
