Those French diplomats better understand that TPLF will never rule Ethiopians ever again and they better get in line or Ethiopia will kick them out like west Africans are doing. Right now France is an enemy which is hated by all of its former colonies and they need African allies and the only way that will happen is military cooperation.

My message to the French is simple:

We want Rafales delivered by 2025.

Do you think your Ethiopia can afford to fork out €100 million for a French Rafale fighter jet, which might never be used, not to mention its maintenance costs, which are among the highest on the market?

Let's say Ethiopia can afford to buy Rafale jets. Is it sensible and realistic for a country that leads the world in toilet scarcity with 93% of its population having no access to a decent toilet to buy damn fighter jets costing €100 million each?
