ABAY BELES LAKE WILL BE THE 27TH LARGEST LAKE IN THE WORLD! THERE ARE 117 MILLION LAKES ON PLANET EARTH!!
Folks let me tell you a few amazing statistics about Abay Beles Lake! Lake Beles will be 2.5 times the size of lake Tana. When the dam is completely filled up to design the GERD Reservoire will be the 27th largest lake same as lake Winnipeg. Ethiopia will not only be the home of the Greatest River- The Blue Nile (85% of the Nile) but the home of the 27th largest Lake in the world ! Glory, Glory! Ethiopia! Ethiopia !!!

1. Will boost Precipitation in Amhara Region.
2. Will Flood and Shrinken Gumuz Lands
3. Will Make GERD Hydrodam accesible to Amhara by Boat

The Victoria Lake which is 1/3 smaller than Abay Beles lake

Abay Beles Lake will not have serious silt deposit issues because the fill up will take 7 years and within 7 years most of its tributary regions will greeenified!
The Gibe and Wabi Rivers of Gurage do not take an ounce of soil into the Abay. So if every community those in Semien mountains, Jema ete Beles Lake will not have Silt deposit problems!
