Major Issues:

- Fano does not have a choisive vision, mission and structure
- Fragmented along regions and war lord's( ዬጎበዝ፥አለቃ)
- Infiltrated and manipulated by Isaias and PP
- No political leadership
- Lack of decipline , lawlessness , stealing and killing
- Amhara state will be destabilized as the result of infighting among rival war lord's and lawless FANOs

Timely incorporation of FANOs to the government security structure and disarming of lawless FANOS is the way forward!

Even the Afar people relied on government forces like special forces to defend their people. Every people group dont need to call their own Liyus or ethnic group serving in ENDF as “government forces” the government doesn’t own us we are the country we are Ethiopia we are the Kilil Amhara no one else.

Axum,

You listed the challenges of Fano. I think these are exaggerated but challenges nonetheless. Fano lacks positive image outside of its base. I think this is a big issue Fano needs to work on.

Having said that, Fano enjoys wide spread support within its immediate community and this is its strength.

I also think Oromos, Tegaru and Ethiopians at large should make efforts to understand Fano and its history. There've been too much anti Fano propaganda in the country and this is affecting people to people relationships. Fano should be engaged to learn its vision and work with it as far as the vision helps bring peace, justice and development.

It's for the good of all Ethiopians to respect Fano because Fano is genuinely supported by large population.

This is my honest opinion based on what I know from my knowledge and my discussions with my own friends who are supporters of Fano and Fano in their own right as well.

I want to say Fano can even be adapted to become warriors against poverty, ignorance and disease.

FANO has to earn it's support from the Amhara people as well as the Ethiopian people but I agree the Amharas are looking for a protector against the threats they face and for see and FANO could position itself to leverage on that support.

I am not an outsider as an Ethiopian and I also consider myself I am part of the great Amhara people! As I defend the Tigrayan people against any abuse I also feel same for Amharas or Oromos or any other Ethiopians. My vision and wish is to see a "United Ethiopia' that respects and promotes it's diversified people, history, culture, religion, ideology etc.
