Until Ethiopia be able to feed herself , its always going to be under western control and Ethiopian rulers would accept any deal to survive , and as usual Eritrea would be the first to be thrown under the bus., so Eritrea/n should expect any thing from Ethiopia and stay vigilant.ከም ቀደምና ኣብ ቅልጽምና፡ኣሕሊኢፎም ከምዝህቡና ውን ክንርስዕ የብልናን(im taking here about Ethiopian rulers and hasad agames not the other God fearing Ethiopian people)
The question is what was the offer to release tplf's aboy at this time?
where is Tazabi1 to explain?,
or tamari to defend this decision?

Re: Eritrea need to drop Abiy and Strike a deal with FANO Amhara
Do you think that if Abiy openly opposed the west, and they cut off all aid, that Ethiopia would be able to make up for those lost billions? How much of the budget of the government is aid monies?
Let's be honest here. We're talking about Ethiopia, not some middle income country or some well developed nation. Be realistic. Ethiopia is Essentially a client state of the west, and this goes back to its origins, but no need to even go back that far into Ethiopian history.
Whether we like it or not, Ethiopia's government cannot go against the west, that's if, you want Ethiopia to not be in perpetual war. ask the average person in addis Ababa/finfinne about the rising costs of everything from food to oil and minamen? The effects of the war are far reaching and will be felt for decades, even after Abiy and his generation are gone! Amhara region and its people are among the most effected, so if you aren't a TPLF cyber cadre masquerading as an Amhara, you should see that and want an end to this war.
Also, it's easy for any of us in the diaspora, to advocate for war back home since we won't be involved... But what about the mother's, the elderly, etc back home who are directly effected? Are you going to the Frontline then? No most likely not. Let's be honest here.
Also, while I may not be a fan of Sebhat Nega and co, let's be honest, you cannot just push Tigray out of the federation nor will the international community accept or recognize it. So, then what? We have to live as neighbors with them, regardless of how we feel at the moment.
Politicians and politics fluctuate and change, but the people will always be there. Adelem ende?
There's no way that the TPLF can come back to power at the center, but there's not much that can be done about Tigray. A long, protracted war there, would be too costly, and even then, not worth the treasure and blood that would be expended there. The people there, apparently support their organization, for better or worse. We have to respect that, the same way they have to respect that no other region of Ethiopia wants TPLF ruling.

You are right reading this statement it appears that the Ethiopian government was forced to do this because of its dependence on the West
