Believe me, I am not trying to pick a fight with you. So please, don't be sensitive. Now you are blaming them, who ever they are, for putting you country in the situation it is. Who allowed the TPLF thugs a free playing field for 27 years? When the TPLF thugs started a stupid war against Eritrea, every Amhara intellectual in the west was cheering them. Some openly bragged that they were happy to see their two enemies destroy each-other. Others supported the TPLF thugs. Even Derg soldiers and officers rushed to support the TPLF. That was a huge mis-calculation. Instead of letting Eritrea get rid the thugs for you, you wanted to destroy Eritrea. The TPLF used you as cannon-fodder and when the war ended was emboldened to loot Ethiopia massively. Just five short years later, they crushed Ethiopians and stole the election.
After that, some Ethiopians like Professor Berhanu Nega, who could have lived a comfortably in the west, became guerrilla fighters. But extremist Amharas were totally opposed to them just because they sought help from Eritrea. Oromos and even someTigrayans who opposed the TPLF sought help from Eritrea, but few Amharas joined in. Another huge mis-calculation. Had they done so then, they would have had a well-trained and armed army. Instead, they were totally helpless as we saw the last 7 months.
So, when you blame others for your misfortune, include the extremists amongst you, who have similar traits as the Agames in having huge fantasies that exacerbate your misfortunes. It is easy to have big dreams because dreams cost nothing. But when your dreams are too big to be realized, you lose big because you are apt to despise the smaller opportunities that come your way.
