Guzo to Healing: a Solitary Moment of Self-Reflection and Restoring Balance

This is your guzo (journey) to Damascus where you keep walking and meet Iyesus or turn back and make bedmates with satan. The choice is simple, God or ego, choose one because one can’t serve two masters. You got this far in life by worshiping your ego even as you go to church professing to love your Creator but the day is upon you to really be honest and ask if your actions reflect the teachings of His son Iyesus. Do you love without preconditions? Do you live life without judging others? Do you keep the Laws of Moses? Do you love money above Mariam? Do you love your neighbor as you do yourself? Do you forgive your transgressors? Do you forgive yourself? Are you truthful? Are you accountable for your actions?

In public, especially on social media, it is easy to pretend and say yes to all these questions. But in the quiet corners of your mind, your conscience will whisper the truth to you even as you piously preen to be perfect for the world. You have perfected the art of being a thespian as you act like you have it all figured out when all along you are a hurting child who is crying for help.
