This is exactly why African countries should never make multilateral or unilateral deals with the US, without solid legal instruments that protect us. The US does preach the "free market", but will break any deal unilaterally.

Africa has to shift production and consumption, primarily, to its domestic markets. It's unreliable to depend entirely on Europe and the US, to absorb our commodities and products.
