If Abiy was not controlled by Isaias the ongoing war may not happen as their was a political solution on the table for any disagreement between Abiy and TPLF. TPLF established EPRDF but Abiy destroyed it with out the consent of TPLF as per the directive given to him by Isaias and the archaic unitary Ethiopia dreamers with the objective of weakening and destroying TPLF. From that onwards both Abiy and TPLF could not see to each other eye to eye and while the drama of the honeymoon of Abiy and Isaias was being played in full scale between Asmara and Addis Ababa, the TPLF was in prisoned in Mekelle with no meaningful influence on the politics of Ethiopia except issuing warnings, rhetoric and complaints from Mekelle until they took the strategic game changer preemptive action on the North Command The rest is history!
