There is no incest in Tigray - We are Orthodox Christians and incest is taboo.
There is a disinformation campaign by Eritrean Agames that incest is wide spread in Tigray. This is not true. This was a campaign from Eritrean Agames to criminalize Tigrayans. 97% of Tigray is Orthodox Christian and do not marry with their families. They maryy Tigrayans who are not related to them. This is a precondition to marry for a couple that they are not related to one another and they are Tigrayans. Tigrayans do not marry outside their community.They usually marry to persons in their village or district.
