haven't you heard, it is the spirit of patriotism that fight and win a battle, not a weapon. so you can buy whatever you want but the net result will be the same.

What purchases do I recommend for the next 5 years and then next 10 years from now on.

Here's my recommendation

A. Drone technology - Ethiopia should work with Turkey, Iran, China and Israel to perfect drone technology and pilot training along with maintenance and manufacturing of guided ammunition for the drones inside Ethiopia.

B. Ethiopia should launch a military satellite with the help of China by 2025 to provide real time spying capabilities and GPS for its weapon systems.

C. The country should strengthen its air defense capabilities

1. Super Tucano - Purchase of "25" units by 2025


2. Mi-35 - Purchase of "10" units by 2025


3. Mi-28 - Purchase of "10" units by 2025


4. Air Defense Systems - ( Israeli Spyder for short range, BUK M3 for medium range and HQ9 for long range. )

5. Ethiopia by 2030 should make a purchase of 40 fighter jets - Whatever fighter jets with best capabilities and lowest operational cost should be chosen.
