Abraha Desta didn't raise any arms, he even accepted Abiy's call for him to work for the illegal Tigray Transitional Government, but is he living a peaceful life? No, he is imprisoned because of his identity. People back home used to say about Derg's soldiers ዝኣመነስ ብሴፍ፤ ዘይኣመነስ ብሴፍ እዮም እዚኦምሲ (meaning ያመነውንም / የተቀበለውንም በሰይፍ፤ ያላመነ / ያተቀበለውንም በሰይፍ) when they were killing the villagers indiscriminately in the highlands. Abiy's government is doing the same to Tigrayans. So submitting to Abiy does not mean saving one's life.
