There are many individuals, groups, parties, countries, west to east, listed(mentioned) as enemies of Ethiopia today. Never heard technology being mentioned in the list of Ethiopia's enemies, though repeated shut down of internet and jamming can be considered as acknowledgement.
Today every action, almost anywhere in this world can be brought to the world attention within few seconds of its happening. In that sense Ethiopian leaders should have listed technology among their worst enemies. The case of Diakon Daniel Kibret's genocide proclamation from Bahirdar is a good example. The diakon felt he was in his usual church and started to rant his hate against everyone who does not subscribe to his backward thinking and hatful ideology, only to find himself in boiling water the next day. None of the Ethiopian top government officials (unless i missed it), even tried to distance themselves, let alone condemn him. Thanks to technology, the world came to know what this mad diakon said and he is now a candidate for extradition to the Hague. Danial Kibret is only a tip of the iceberg as Ethiopia is full of it today. Add to this Fakadu of oromia who said "one has to dry up the pond if one wants all the fishes die". Technology captured what these hate preachers preach and exposed them to the wider world attention.
When will PP put technology in the list of Ethiopia's worst enemies?
