The Camp David Accords, agreements signed between Israel and Egypt on September 17, 1978, stipulates that Egypt to build the Al-Salam canal and pipe fresh water from the Nile River across the Sinai Peninsula to the Negev Desert in Israel. During the summit, the then Egyptian President Anwar Sadat told the then Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin,
  • "...Well, why not send you some of this sweet water to the Negev Desert as good neighbors . . . ? Well, Sinai is on the border with the Negev. Why not? Lots of possibilities, lots of hope. After the tunnel (Al-Salam Canal) is completed, I'm planning to bring the sweet Nile water -- this is the sweetest of the four big rivers of the whole world -- to Sinai."

Since then, Egypt, however, had refused to transfer the sweet Nile water to Israel when it felt its security concerns outweighed the plan, which in turn had angered Israel forcing it to make a deal with the TPLF to build a dam along the Abay River in Ethiopia in an effort to blackmail Egypt into sending the sweet Nile water to Israel. The plan was never to complete the dam, but to use the project as a boogeyman to scare off Egypt into complying with the Camp David Accords, while the TPLF slaves make a few million dollars selling bonds to the dam-to-nowhere. All this at the expense of the Ethiopian people.

If the construction and the filling of the dam is to be completed, Egypt will no longer feel the need to send the sweet Nile water to Israel, because it needs the water for itself. And it is for this reason that Israel dispatched the Jewish-American US Ambassador Antony Blinken to hammer Ethiopia into submission. According to Israel, if the TPLF were still in power, the completion of the dam would never have been possible, so bringing the TPLF back to power has become a full time job for Antony Blinker and his associates.
