I do not go as far as Fiyameta has gone to describe a Tigrean journalist — read above — but I could say I have a hard time believing a Tigrean journalist who supported the political change could be thrown to jail, especially at this time without a legitimate reason.. Rarely, if ever, the Abiy administration gets support from Tigreans, and it might be very troubling to assume they jailed her because of her ethnicity. In fact, in her case because she is from Tigray they might seek fool proof before they take her in. Let us wait. We might know something sooner than later.

Thank God she is out! Thanks to the many Ethiopians who contacted the authorities on her behalf. We should never repeat the shameful deeds of Woyane against thousands of innocent Eritreans who lived in Ethiopia for generations. That was shameful and we should learn from that and not repeat the same mistake. We should do everything to go after TPLF criminals who want to take us back to their cruel slavery rule but at the same time we should try to avoid punishing innocent civilians indiscriminately.

She said a fellow tigrean TPLF supporter reported her to the police as a suspect just because he hates her (as many woyanes do) and wanted to revenge. She said the federal authorities just did their job but now they are hunting the guy who reported her.
She said after federal police found out that she was detained by false report they apologized and brought her to her home.
